A small collection of items, the property of descendants of Lewis Morris, one of the 18 men of Welsh descent who signed the American Declaration of Independence. The grandfather of Lewis Morris (also named Lewis Morris) had raised a regiment for the Parliamentary cause in the English Civil Wars and his restless spirit finally carried him to America.
